MAP Testing is finished until January

What we did today:

We were very busy today. We started out with Great Gathering-There were so many students who had roadrunners chosen. Then you got to go to Library for the 1st time in over 2 weeks.

After Library, we started a new math unit on problem solving. It is very important to know how to solve problems, not just give answers. We will be learning several different problem solving strategies over the next few weeks.

We then went to MAP testing after recess. You guys did really well on the Language Arts test. Now we can focus on strengthening those areas in the 3 tests that we showed weaknesses in and you guys can get better and better.

Finally, we are in the final stretch to finishing our Pest Posters. We will get everyone's description typed up this week and printed out, so that the Posters will be hung up in time for parent teacher conferences in October.

Homework:

Read for 30 minutes.

EVERY STUDENT IN THIS CLASS HAS TURNED IN 100% OF THEIR HOMEWORK FOR 2 DAYS IN A ROW!!!

We will check homework tomorrow and update for 2 days if needed. Thanks to Great Gathering and MAP testing we didn't check homework today.
