What I did this summer. . .Part 3

Well as I told you in the last update we were heading out to find a small rv/travel trailer for my daughter to live in while at college. This was a decision we made after her first 2 years. First year she lived on campus in the dorms, and the second year off campus with friends. Both of these were great earning experiences but neither was really the right situation for her to learn her best in, so we started looking for alternatives. Apartments and such as hard to find in the town and those that do come up are rather expensive. After looking at the costs it was determined that it was cheaper to buy a travel trailer or rv and put it into a park.

So we started looking around for one. That was a fun and stressful adventure but we finally found one.

We have spend the most of the last month fixing it up so that it is ready to handle the weather and such.

Had to update/fix the roof. That was loads of fun (spent several days dealing with a sunburn after working on this)

Then it was on to the interior. Replacing the old curtains, door, lights and other things. Made the curtains ourselves-they are lined to help keep the trailer cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Updating necessary equipment and adding things to make it cheaper to live in. You can see that some of her Doctor Who things are in here also.

So this is how much of July was spent, working on making this a safe and secure place for my daughter to live in while away at school.
